1-64 Modeling Guide

Welcome to the 1:64MG magazine home page.

As the 1:64 Modeling Guide website has now surpassed the 103,000 visitors and  its 4-Year Anniversary (July 4th), we have only you to thank for the success of this website and publication. Along with being a great responsibility and a labor of love, our quest has not been without its perils and its rewards.

As an avid fellow 1:64th-scale modeler & a NMRA Nationally Awarded Modeler, this Publication's Editorial Staff has interests in all facets of 3/16" scale modeling. The 1:64 Modeling Guide is looking for a reasonable balance of 1:64th scale modeling from all modes of transportation, time periods - static and operational scenes - and dioramas, as well as all the little details that make a scene so realistic that only the photographer knows for sure if the image is a model or  a prototype. I will confess that we do have a number of folks helping out with columns, contests, articles, and the editing. So please be patient and thankful that we keep hanging in there issue after issue. We do enjoy the effort and the occasional thank you.

We do try to keep to a schedule, but we're a one man/one woman show here and we're busier than one-armed paperhangers (no offence to the disabled is intended). However, so far this latest issue and printing process has bee a huge hit! Folks LOVE the non-glossy paper and we love not having to pay a printer thousands of dollars for something you are not crazy about! However, only you the subscriber - our customer - will be able to dictate the content of this Publication.  Without your Subscriptions, we have no Customers, Advertisers or Revenue. Without your Contributions, we have no informative articles and creative modeling techniques.  Without your input, we have no Pop Valve or Product Reviews. Without you, we are nothing.

The 1:64MG will continue to remain in the 'magazine' format that is distribution-friendly for future logistics opportunities. We will continue to utilize the pages that provide the best images ... and lots of images we will have! Please do not be 'fooled' by imitators!  We do not tease you into subscribing & then switch back to old habits. The 1:64 Modeling Guide & its sister publication the S/Sn3 Products Guide are both Copyright Protected Publications and violations of this legal right will not be tolerated.

Many of our subscribers are hi-railers, scale-railers, scale hi-railers, 1:64-scale, Sn2, Sn42, Sn3.5, Sn3 narrow gaugers, standard gaugers, American Flyer collectors, car1:64 Modeling Guide 2007 Calendar modelers/bashers, tractor/trailer hobbyists-you name it. So, if now is the time for you to subscribe or renew your subscription or if it is getting near the end of your subscription term, slide over to the left (Annual Subscriptions) and click the link to renew/subscribe today! Unlike the "big" magazines, we do not keep sending issues to you after your subscription runs out. Sorry, but we just don't have the funds.

Please feel free to check out our new, evolving website by CLICKING on the links to the left. We urge you to visit our website often and be sure to reserve your next 1:64 Modeling Guide Subscribing On-Line today! Each published Issue will be printed in a limited quantity in order to maintain costs and overhead.  And when the last copy is gone, there will be no more.

Our Sincerest Thank You and Appreciation for Your Continued Patronage!

In each 1:64 Modeling Guide issue we have a Column titled, "Pop Valve." We encourage our readership to contribute feedback and voice their opinions. Realizing that some parts of society consider 'snail mail' a means of the past, we have created the 1:64MG Pop Valve Yahoo Group.

Got something 1:64 Scale to get off of your chest? Join up and speak you peace. This group abides by typical on-line group rules and is a privilege, not a right. Abusers are immediately removed in order to continue respectable order. Enjoy!
